Parlor or Short grand by John Broadwood & Sons, London sn# 575 circa 1845. This piano is both shorter and narrower than other grands, so it will fit in a smaller space. It does only have 80 keys (C to G). Restoration performed by McBrayer;s Piano Gallery, Ft. Wort, Tx including the pin block. It has a beautiful walnut burl cabinet, genuine ivory key caps, ebony sharps and solid bronze casters. It has sliding candelabra stands on either side of the music stand. The piano has been appraised by Hufford Piano Services, DFW. The piano is believed to have been originally purchased by a civil war general in Galveston and remained in that family until 1974.
